SOLDIER PORTRAIT

This is a custom portrait of a soldier in Cambodia, from a photo shot in 1970. Along the edge is a verse he had scrolled on a scrap of cardboard while in the midst of the war. The peace ring he wore is a clue to the complexity of the emotions he experienced.
