"Tenuous Grasp"
3" x 3 1/2"
bronze edition of 20
©2004 This is is a new experimental piece incorporating a detail image from an earlier
sculpture. The figures are in motion, unfrozen by camera or memory, living
within and below the surface. To me this subject matter illustrates that very
human feeling of having a tenuous grasp on your given situation. You have your
hand on it now but at any moment the tables could turn and the beast is
controlling you before you even realize it has happened. Then, just as quickly
you manage to regain your footing and your grasp....but for how long? |
