"Flying High On A Broken Wing" is a personally symbolic piece created on the heels of our national tragedy and a time of great difficulty in my own personal life. I wanted to create a character that showed the great strength a person can find in times of trouble with the support of the people around them. Even when our wings feel broken these forces allow us to still fly high and triumphant.

Created in wax, this piece has a strong spontaneous texture that shows energy, emotion, movement and chaos. The ball balanced on top of the wing represents the balance we all must find in our lives.
